Today’s prompt – Prep ahead Picnic
This dish I made for today’s prompt is so easy and one of the things I get complimented the most for – sausage rolls!
Nowadays you can buy frozen vegan sausage rolls in lots of places which you just pop in the oven but the joy of making your own is that you can add your own flavours and twists.
I use two products to help me along the way. Granose sausage mix and jus-rol puff pastry.
Make up the sausage mix as per the packet, for these ones I added a little garlic powder and oregano to the mix. Then wrap in the puff pastry sheet, add a few sesame seeds and bake in the oven for 20 mins at 180°C. They keep well in an airtight container. I always bring these to work when I am celebrating and they go down a treat!
What are you favourite snacks to make in advance? Let me know in the comments below.

Ah, so simple and so delicious! Ready made vegan puff pastry is probably the thing I miss most about the UK (and yes, that includes my family!).

It’s such a shame they don’t! The puff pastry is so good for loads of things
