I went to the London Animal Free Festival today at the Camden Centre.
There was so many people there it was insane and bit too crowded and hot for my liking. But of course it’s encouraging to see so many people there.
I was quite hungry when I arrived so I grabbed a seitan burger and a slice of pizza from Pomodoro e Basilico. I met up with my Sister-in-law Gemma and her friend to take a look around the stalls.
I grabbed this baked cheesecake from Unless Vegan Catering and it was amazing!
This is my little haul! Condensed soya milk, mint and original round ups (vegan wagon wheels) from Ananda Foods, Donkey cards from Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land, matcha twix bar from Pomodoro e Basilico, cookie dough brownie from Ms. Cupcake and vitamins from Vegan Society.
I also saw some great tee shirts available. Here’s a list of sites I’d recommend you check out.
I’m looking forward to more vegan fairs/festivals to come over the summer, it always great to see what new products are coming out.

I went to the London Vegan Festival at Kensington Town Hall in 2004. As I recall there was at least space to move. The last such event I went was the West Mids one in Wolverhampton Town Hall in 2012. It was jam packed, with too many stalls – many of which weren’t really relevant, but I the organisers needed to cover the cost of hiring the room – but not enough space for people to walk around.

I’ve been to a few at Kensington Town Hall, I think they are better at setting things out. I know they have to cover costs but people aren’t going to want to come back to their next event when they’re so difficult to navigate!

I’d love a heads up on any veggie/vegan fairs in London! 😘

The next one I’m going to is The V Show at Olympia. It’s 8 – 10 July and you can get free tickets here http://www.justvshow.co.uk/london/e-ticket-registration/ It held in the same space as the allergy show so there are loads of stalls! Just double check everything is veggie/vegan. The first time we went (about 3 years ago) we were being offered loads of samples of stuff without realising it was veggie rather than vegan.
